Renovations designed to help improve on a safe dining experience at PPG Paints Arena are on their way.

The Penguins announced the news Wednesday morning.

The Penguins say that these investments being made will help provide safety for fans in the post-COVID world featuring contactless concessions options.

Implementation of technology will include mobile ordering for concessions, self-ordering kiosks, and self-checkout scanners, all providing the option for contactless ordering and payment.

In addition to these new options, new concepts are also being added to the arena, including:

  • Drink MKT (Section 101, 105, 109, 204, 215)
  • The King Penguin (Section 114)
  • Market (Section 116)
  • Fan Favs Express (Section 119)
  • Connected Concepts (Section 205)

More information about these concepts can be found on the Penguins website.

The Penguins say that the renovations will be completed prior to the start of the 2020-21 season. It is unclear at this time when the season will start, and if or how many fans will be able to be in attendance at PPG Paints Arena.
