What season of Penguins' hockey would you watch/re-watch?

I was thinking the other day. There are so many years of Penguins hockey I'm completely unfamiliar with. Players I've heard about but have never seen play. Most of Mario's career was over by the time I started following hockey with any regularity. Luckily, I did get a chance to see him play in person with Sid in 2005.

Anyway, the Internet is full of unlimited content and I was thinking about watching a historical year of Penguins hockey. Every game, every goal, every shift. It'd be fun to read old news articles and recaps of the games, too.

Any suggestions what era or what year of Penguins hockey might be the most interesting? Obviously, I have a few years in mind:

  • Pre-1980's: No idea what year would stick out.
  • 1983-1984: pre-Mario when the Pens were terrible.
  • 1984-1985: Mario's rookie year
  • 1988-1989: Return to the playoffs with Mario at the helm
  • 1990-1991: First Cup
Any ideas or thoughts? What year of hockey would be the most interesting to re-watch from your perspectives?
