Jason Zucker’s injury and Sidney Crosby’s milestone are the two big talking points on this week’s episode of the PensBurgh Podcast.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have been in a solid run of form over their last several games, winning three out of their last four contests dating back to February 18.

However, with all the ups comes a significant down, as Jason Zucker suffered a longer-term lower-body injury in the Penguins’ 3-2 OT win against the Capitals on February 23. Who will be the man that replaces Zucker alongside Evgeni Malkin and Bryan Rust? Will a rejuvenated Zach-Aston-Reese see a promotion to the top-six? Could a healthy Jared McCann try to prove his worth in an elevated role?

Additionally, Penguins captain Sidney Crosby recently played in his 1,000th NHL game. Frank and I spend some time reminiscing about the captain’s Hall of Fame career with a look back at some of our favorite Sidney Crosby moments.

And, like always, the show reaches its conclusion with a loaded, eight-question mailbag featuring questions surrounding the future of the Penguins’ blue line depth to wondering how much playing time Tristan Jarry will see as the season gets deeper.
