After missing the morning skate today, the Penguins made a roster move for Evgeni Malkin, placing him on the injured reserve list.

The move was made retroactive to March 16th, meaning that Malkin will be out of the lineup until at least March 23rd.

In addition to that move, Teddy Blueger was also placed on injured reserve.

Defenseman John Marino was activated after having missed the past four games and forwards Anthony Angello, Colton Sceviour, and Frederick Gaudreau have been recalled to Pittsburgh’s active roster from the taxi squad.

The Penguins will face the New Jersey Devils for the first time this season, with three games between the two teams scheduled in the next four days, with the first game in the three-game stretch coming this evening .

The team will look to get back into the win column, having fallen to the Bruins on Tuesday night, ending what was a six-game winning streak at the time.
